The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has terminated the appointment of Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko as the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.

This development was made known in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Mohammed on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

He explained that the sack, which takes effect immediately, is part of the minor change to the composition of the State Executive Council as approved by the Governor.

The Governor thanked the Honourable Commissioner for her services to the State and wished her success in her future endeavours.

In a related news, the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has dismissed two senior government officials over alleged forgery, citing violations of the State Public Service Rule 0327 (ii, iii, and vi), which prohibits forgery and falsification of official documents.

In a press release signed by the Commission’s Information and Public Relations Officer, Saleh Umar, the affected officers were identified as Yusuf Ningi, an Administrative Officer, and Suleiman Ahmed, a Principal Executive Officer I.

Naijaonpoint understands that both men, who were previously posted to the Government House from the Office of the Head of Civil Service, were dismissed after the Commission’s 35th plenary session held on September 23, 2025.

The Commission explained that the disciplinary measure was necessary to reinforce integrity and accountability in the state civil service.

Chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Muhammad, urged civil servants to strictly comply with public service rules and ethical guidelines.
