Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola has honoured his senior colleague, Peju Ogunmola, at his award ceremony.
The filmmaker, on Tuesday, held his yearly Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) awards 2025, where he honoured his colleagues.
The highlight from the event was when Odunlade invited Peju on stage and asked the guests to give Ogunmola a standing ovation, which they did.

Recall that in September Peju had lost her only child, Ayomikun.
In a statement released via the family’s spokesperson, Yemi Amodu, he set the record straight on the cause of Ayomikun’s death. He said contrary to the claim, Ayomikun died after a brief illness in Ibadan and has since been buried.
When the news of her son’s death made headlines, actors from the industry stormed her and her husband, Sunday Omobolanle, aka Papi Luwe’s residence, in Ibadan, Oyo State, to show solidarity with the grieving couple. Dele Odule, Ronke Odusanya, Fausat Balogun, Dupe Jayesimi, Bimbo Oshin, Ebun Oloyede, Olaiya Igwe, Fali Werepe, and many more visited the actress.
In November, Peju, via made her return to Instagram, with an emotional video. She described the past few months as heavy, but the love, prayers, and condolences from the public had carried her through the storm. She said she rises stronger, grateful, and ready to embrace her passion again, as she announced her return to the screen.
In another post, she shared new photos of herself, revealing that this is her finally out of the house face. She said she was starting the month on the move.
