The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hyacinth Dajoh, has presented official vehicles to members of the House to support the effective discharge of their legislative duties.
An official vehicle was also handed over to the Clerk of the Assembly, John Hwande.
Following the inauguration of the 10th Assembly, some members had been without official vehicles, a situation that had hindered the smooth execution of their responsibilities.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Terver Zamber, lawmakers who received the vehicles include Douglas Akya, Anyor Matu, and Peter Uche.
Others are Abu Edo, Abu Umoru, and Ezra Nyiyongu.
Zamber noted that the lawmakers expressed gratitude to the Speaker for prioritising their welfare and providing the tools needed to perform their duties more effectively.
They also pledged their full support for his leadership and assured him of their cooperation in advancing the Assembly’s objectives.
