Benue South PDP Zonal Chairman, Owulo defects to ADC

The immediate past Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue South Senatorial District, Godwin Owulo, has announced his resignation from the party.

In a letter dated October 15, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the PDP, Ukpa-Aniu-Ette Council Ward, Oju Local Government Area, Chief Owulo formally declared his exit from the party, citing personal reasons.

The letter, titled “Resignation,” reads in part:

“This is to let you know that I, Hon. Chief Sir Godwin Owulo, the Immediate Past Zonal Chairman, People’s Democratic Party, Benue South Senatorial District, this day, the 15th of Oct. 2025, hereby resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party. The reason is personal. Wishing you well.”

Following his resignation, Chief Owulo confirmed his decision to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), marking the end of his long-standing association with the PDP in Benue State.

Owulo, a prominent political figure from Oju Local Government Area, has been instrumental in grassroots mobilization for the PDP in Benue South.
