It is no longer news that there have been years of rivalry between the two screen goddesses, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, as they have both dominated the TV screen for years and are still doing so.

However, the two ladies settled their differences last year as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday, and she reciprocated. Toyin had also attended Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, which further shut down rumours of animosity between the box office Queens.

In April, Toyin penned an open letter to Funke, speaking about how fan wars caused their unnecessary feud and congratulated her for achieving the one billion landmark in the cinema. Funke reacted to ..., wishing Toyin all the best.

She later reignited movie battle with Funke after she teased her newest project, a sequel to her popular movie, Alakada, which will premiere in December. The news left many divided as some noted how the actress was following in the footsteps of her rival, Funke Akindele, who announced a week before her that she was releasing a sequel to her hit movie, Jenifa.
