Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted backstage at the Brandy and Monica concert in Los Angeles with 8 year old Rumi, and what should have been a smooth celebrity exit turned into a full blown mommy moment.

According to multiple witnesses, the superstar parents decided to leave early, but Rumi was absolutely not feeling it. The third grader was clearly having the time of her life and did not want the party to end.

Rumi Was In Her Concert Era

While Bey and Jay calmly prepared to head out, Rumi made her stance clear. She reportedly started protesting and loudly told her mom, “I don’t want to go to the car.” And honestly, you could feel her spirit through the walls.

She was excited. She was vibing. She was not interested in any bedtime energy.

Instead of snapping or embarrassing her daughter, Beyoncé and Jay-Z kept it graceful. They repeatedly and gently told Rumi it was time to go, showing patience that had social media shook in the best way.

After a few moments of protest and tiny diva theatrics, Rumi eventually calmed down and walked out with her parents like the little superstar she is.
