Big Brother Naija Season 10 set to kick off with N150 Million Prize

Naijaonpoint Media reports that the organisers of Big Brother Naija have announced that the 10th season of the popular reality television show will premiere this July, with a grand prize of N150 million for the winner.

This was disclosed during a press briefing held on Wednesday, where the production team revealed that the new season will begin with a two-day launch event.

The upcoming edition marks a significant milestone for the franchise and features the largest cash reward since the show’s inception in 2006.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as host, continuing his role for the eighth consecutive season. During the event, he highlighted the show’s impressive track record, including:

  • 197 housemates across previous seasons

  • 709 days of broadcast time

  • Over N637 million distributed in prizes and rewards

Season 9, which aired in 2024 under the theme “No Loose Guard,” introduced a unique twist where contestants entered the house in pairs before eventually competing individually. The season was won by Kellyrae, who became the first married contestant to win the show.

Organisers hinted that Season 10 will feature new formats, twists, and expanded viewer engagement, although specific details remain under wraps.

The show remains one of the most-watched television events in Nigeria and across Africa, with millions of viewers tuning in each year.
