Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are currently eyeing a move for Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman on a loan move with an option to buy….
Former Nigerian international Sambo Choji has backed Ademola Lookman’s potential switch from Atalanta to Bayern Munich, Soccernet.ng reports.
The former FC Saarbrücken forward insists the Bundesliga champions would provide the perfect stage for Lookman to bolster his career further.
Lookman has been at the centre of transfer speculation in recent weeks, with Bayern reportedly pushing for a deal structured around a loan fee and an option to buy at the end of the season.
Tensions between the Nigerian star and Atalanta’s hierarchy have further fuelled exit talks and have opened the door for a move to Germany.
What Choji said on Lookman’s move to Bayern Munich
Choji, who enjoyed most of his professional career in the Bundesliga, expressed his excitement over the move to Germany.
“I was excited when I read the news, and I am always excited anytime a Nigerian player goes to the Bundesliga because Germany is like a second home to me,” Choji told Footy-Africa.
“Lookman will definitely become a better player at Bayern as he will be surrounded by world-class players, which he will benefit from. Also, there is always the opportunity to win trophies with the biggest team in Germany, and if he goes there, he will definitely help them win trophies and titles.”

Have any Super Eagles played for the Bavarian giants?
Choji also noted the rarity of Super Eagles stars at Bayern Munich and hopes Lookman will become the first to don the Bavarian giants’ jersey.
“I cannot remember any Super Eagles player who played for them. I hope the deal gets done so that he can play for the biggest club in Germany,” he added.

If completed, the move would see Lookman become one of Bayern’s standout attacking options as they look to strengthen their squad depth ahead of the new season.
