Black Panther faces Spider-Man’s greatest foe, but there’s a twist that not even one of the Marvel Universe’s best minds can understand. Now, Black Panther is a reluctant visitor on a strange planet. Black Panther Meets A Doctor Octopus Clone Called “Otto Gunther Blacktavius”

Before he can investigate this planet further, T’Challa is captured by a man who wields a set of Doctor Octopus tentacles. However, instead of an Otto Octavius clone, Black Panther soon learns that he’s facing a clone of himself who wears Doc Ock’s mechanical arms and calls himself “Otto Gunther Blacktavius.” This revelation only supports the idea that whoever is behind this planet of clones is toying specifically with T’Challa.
Otto Gunther Blacktavius also reveals to T’Challa that T’Challa himself ordered his attack. Black Panther’s capture takes place simultaneously with M’Baku meeting a mystery Black Panther, who’s replacing T’Challa during the Wakandan emperor’s disappearance. The High Evolutionary, the Jackal, and Mister Sinister are prime suspects in this conspiracy, but the real culprit will only be revealed once T’Challa and his allies learn more about the villain’s plans.

Marvel Villains Overlook Many Of Their Most Useful Inventions
In Black Panther: Intergalactic, T’Challa comes across near-perfect clones of multiple Marvel characters, including himself. While several Marvel villains have perfected cloning, complete with superpower replication, this technique is rarely exploited. Likewise, mechanical appendages like Doc Ock’s are so simple in concept that they already seem inevitable in real life, yet only one Spider-Man villain (two, counting Scorpion) uses them on a regular basis.
Technically, dozens of Marvel supervillains could create an army of clones armed with all kinds of mechanical and organic enhancements. But of course, this would make threats repetitive, as every character needs to possess a distinct set of abilities and weapons. Still, T’Challa must identify which of Marvel’s countless criminal masterminds is behind his twisted clone.
