Boosie BadAzz is facing serious legal consequences after pleading guilty to federal gun charges tied to his 2023 arrest in San Diego.

The rapper was taken into custody in May 2023 after police discovered two loaded handguns inside a vehicle he was riding in during a traffic stop in the city’s Chollas View neighborhood.

According to court documents, San Diego Police alleged they first spotted Boosie with a gun tucked into his waistband during an Instagram Live while he was filming a music video. Using a helicopter, the cops later tracked down the vehicle carrying the rapper.

On Tuesday, Boosie entered a guilty plea in federal court to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Earlier this month, he confirmed the plea deal in a candid post on social media:

“Just accepted a plea from the federal government on my gun case. I thought this case was over n I was going to get on with my life but ‘god don’t make mistakes’ n I’m tired of fighting. Talked to my family n this is the right decision. To all my fans across the world say a prayer for ya boy n go get the new album.”

He had tried to seek a pardon from President Trump, but his calls for help were seemingly ignored.

Boosie is scheduled to be sentenced on November 21.
