BREAKING: Another PDP Lawmaker Defects To Labour Party In Abia

The lawmaker representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Ugochukwu Collins, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party (LP) in Abia State.

His defection was confirmed in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, which was read on the floor of the House during plenary on Wednesday.

With this defection, the Labour Party gains another seat in the Abia State House of Assembly, further consolidating its influence.

The development is expected to spark political reactions within the PDP and across the state’s political spectrum.

PDP has lost three lawmakers so far to the ruling Labour Party (LP) in Abia State.

Those from PDP that have joined the LP are Hon Rowland Ceaser, Hon Lucky Johnson and Hon Collins Ugochukwu.
