Army has redeployed 17 Senior Officers in major shake-up.
NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede has approved the redeployment of 17 senior officers of the Nigerian Army to new strategic positions across formations, commands, and institutions.
The large-scale posting, announced on Sunday by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele, affects Principal Staff Officers at Army Headquarters, General Officers Commanding (GOCs), Corps Commanders, Commandants of training schools, and Brigade Commanders.
According to the Army, the reshuffle is designed to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance administrative performance, and boost the fight against terrorism, insurgency, and other security threats.
Key Appointments at Army Headquarters

Major General A.A. Adeyinka moved from the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport to the Department of Army Logistics as Chief of Logistics (Army).

Major General A.A. Adekeye was reassigned from the Department of Standards and Evaluation to the Department of Personnel Management as Chief of Personnel Management (Army).

Major General T.B. Ugiagbe, formerly at the Army Intelligence Corps, now heads the Department of Standards and Evaluation.

Major General A.A. Idris was redeployed from Defence Headquarters to the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps as Chief of Military Intelligence (Army).

COAS Oluyede urged the newly deployed officers to remain committed to duty, stressing that their new roles are crucial in sustaining ongoing operations against insurgency, terrorism, and other security challenges facing Nigeria.
