The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the names of 5 candidates from different political parties scheduled to contest in the upcoming bye-election for the Adamawa State House of Assembly(Ganye Local Government Area).

It can be recalled that Adamawa is the home state of Former Vice President and rumored Leader of the Action Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar. He also hails from Jada in Ganye.
This newspaper gathered that the Party’s inability to field a candidate is due to its current leadership and internal crisis.
