The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday voted to retain its Monetary Policy Rate at 27.50 per cent with an asymmetric corridor at +500basis points/-100basis points.
For the second meeting in 2025, the members have voted to retain interest rate or MPR at 27.50 per cent in a move to tackle inflation rate and stabilize the Naira at the foreign exchange market.
The members after the two-day meeting in Abuja also retain the CRR for Deposit Money Banks at 50per cent and Merchant Banks at 16per cent and retain liquidity rate at 30 per cent.
