Governor Alex Otti has allegedly dumped Peter Obi and is currently supporting Tinubu for 2027 presidency.
NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said that the governor of Abia State, Alex Otti of the Labour Party, and Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are supporting each other.
This Nigeria news platform understands that Orji disclosed this following a recent visit to Governor Otti in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
He dismissed the strength of the coalition led by former presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, respectively, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and others, in their bid to unseat President Tinubu in 2027.
According to him, the All Progressives Congress remains the dominant political force ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We are not into any coalition. All I know is that Otti is supporting Tinubu, and Tinubu is supporting Otti; that is my deal. I am not into coalition,” he said in a video released by Channels Television.
Earlier, NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reported that Orji described Atiku, Peter Obi, and the former governors of Kaduna and Rivers states, Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi, as friends and brothers.
