Nigeria’s Super Falcons have won their 10th African Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
The Super Falcons claimed the title with a 3-2 win in a dramatic match against Morocco on Saturday night.
In a thrilling match, Morocco initially took control, with Ghizlane Chebbak opening the scoring in the 12th minute and Sanaâ Mssoudy doubling their lead just 12 minutes later.
However, the Nigerian team mounted a stunning comeback in the second half. Esther Okoronkwo narrowed the gap with a penalty goal in the 64th minute, and Folashade Florence Ijamilusi equalized in the 71st minute, turning the tide in favor of Nigeria.
