Inflation 2

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate has fallen to 16.05% for October 2025, according to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation Report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The report, published on Monday on the NBS’ verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, shows a significant drop from the 18.02% recorded in September 2025.

Despite the year-on-year decline, the NBS noted that on a month-on-month basis, headline inflation rose by 0.93% in October.

The bureau also reported a slight easing in food prices, with food inflation declining by 0.37% month-on-month.

This marks the seventh consecutive month of decline in Nigeria’s inflation rate in 2025.
