NNPC GMD Bayo Ojulari has reportedly resigned amid allegations of fraud and mismanagement.

NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), Bayo Ojulari, who was appointed in April 2025, has officially resigned from his position.

According to The Will, Ojulari stepped down on Friday, submitting his resignation letter to the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi.

His resignation comes amid a storm of controversies, including allegations of financial mismanagement, fraudulent dealings, and alleged ties to businessman Bashir Haske; a known associate and in-law of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Reports claim Ojulari allegedly used Haske as a front to launder billions of naira from NNPC coffers.

The NNPC has yet to issue an official statement on the development.
