Parents of Nigerian students studying abroad on government scholarships have stormed the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja.
Naijaonpoint reports that the aggrieved individuals blocked the entrance of the Ministry on Monday and demanded the payment of outstanding allowances owed to their children.
The protesters told newsmen that their children, who are on various bilateral education agreements and other scholarship schemes, have not received their stipends for 16 months, while an additional eight-month shortfall remains unsettled.
