WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo State governorship election, Agboola Ajayi, has claimed victory at his polling unit in Apoi Ward II, Unit 004, located in Ese Odo Council Area. The results from the polling unit showed that Agboola secured 194 votes, defeating his closest opponent, Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who managed only 3 votes. Agboola, a former deputy governor, cast his vote alongside his wife early on election day. The couple arrived at the polling unit around 10:36 a.m. under heavy security provided by the Nigerian Police and Civil Defence personnel. Upon their arrival, they were given priority to vote ahead of other voters waiting in line. By 10:45 a.m., both Agboola and his wife had been accredited and completed the voting process. Shortly after casting his vote, Agboola voiced concerns about the election process. He claimed there were irregularities in the ongoing election. Afterwards, the couple left the polling unit in a black Jeep.
