The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned its members against engaging in anti-party activities, warning that those endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027 risk facing severe disciplinary measures.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the NWC expressed concern over the actions of certain prominent members who have openly declared support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 polls.

The party described the endorsements and public statements in favour of the APC as violations of the PDP Constitution, noting that Section 10(6) explicitly prohibits members from aligning with other parties or groups in a manner that undermines the PDP or any of its elected governments.

“These anti-party activities threaten the stability and survival of our party, causing division, disaffection, and a loss of members, with the potential to diminish our electoral fortunes if left unchecked,” the statement read.

Citing Section 59(1) of the PDP Constitution, the NWC said it was issuing a strong reprimand to those involved and urged them to desist immediately or face more severe sanctions.

The party further called on all members to remain loyal, focused, and committed to the success of the upcoming PDP National Convention, scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
