The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Jimoh, has declared human rights activist Omoyele Sowore wanted for public disturbance.
Jimoh made the declaration on Monday while addressing journalists, noting that the police had deployed personnel massively to prevent damage to properties during protests.
He said, “I hereby declare Sowore wanted. I declare him wanted for the act of causing disturbance of public peace.”
The commissioner urged Sowore to surrender to the authorities to avoid further legal consequences.
