President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced plans for the construction of a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Speaking during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the State House Conference Centre on Thursday, Tinubu directed the APC National Working Committee (NWC), Progressive Governors’ Forum, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to collaborate on the project.
“We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat,” Tinubu said.
He instructed them to form a committee that would identify a suitable location and oversee the development of a befitting national headquarters for the ruling party.
The party’s current secretariat is located at 40 Blantyre Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.
Earlier, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda was sworn in as the new National Chairman of the party. Yilwatda.
The former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and one-time APC governorship candidate in Plateau State was nominated by Governor Hope Uzodimma and seconded by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen.
