WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Former governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello has presented himself before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This comes months after he was declared wanted in April for shunning invitations for questioning and resisting arrest. A statement on Wednesday by his media office said he decided to meet with the EFCC after consultations with his family, legal team and political allies. Bello’s spokesman Ohiare Michael said in the statement, “It is our hope that the Commission will be as professional as necessary and respect his fundamental rights as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Ohiare added that the details of Bello’s engagement with the operatives of the anti-graft agency would be disclosed later.
