British Comedian Russell Brand Pleads Not Guilty to R*pe & S*xual Assault Charges

MTO Square

British comedian Russell Brand pleaded not guilty to numerous charges of rape and sexual assault this morning in court.

Brand is facing one charge of r*pe, one of oral r*pe, two counts of sexual assault and another of indecent assault.

One of Brand’s alleged victims says she was r*ped by a woman in a hotel room during a Labour Party political conference.

“I’ve always told you guys that when I was young and single before I had my wife and family … I was a fool, man,” he said last month. “I was a fool before I lived in the light of the Lord. I was a drug addict, a sex addict, and an imbecile. But what I never was, was a r*pist. I’ve never engaged in nonconsensual activity. I pray that you can see that by looking in my eyes.”

The Metropolitan Police are confident in their decision to move forward with the charges.

“We carefully reviewed the evidence after a police investigation into allegations made following the broadcast of a Channel 4 documentary in September 2023,” Jaswant Narwal of the Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement. “We have concluded that Russell Brand should be charged with offenses including rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault.”
