Briney Spears’ ex-husband, Sam Asghari, has moved on and is happy and in love, and according to sources, the pop singer is struggling to deal with it.
“Britney’s relationship with Paul [Soliz] just crashed and burned again so she’s single and not happy about it,” an insider close to the singer told InTouch Weekly.
Sam is now dating Brooke Irvine and has been public about their romance, but the insider says Brit does not want her ex back.
“Seeing Sam all in love with a girl that looks so much like a younger version of her is heart wrenching,” they continued. “She doesn’t want Sam back, or at least she says she doesn’t, but she does admit it really sucks to see that he’s just moved on with his life while she’s still stuck trying to get over their divorce.”
The former couple started dating in 2016 when they met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video. After dating for several years, they became engaged in September 2021 and married on June 9, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at Spears’ Los Angeles home, attended by celebrities like Madonna and Paris Hilton.
Their marriage lasted roughly 14 months before they separated in July 2023. Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized on December 2, 2024, and both parties agreed to waive future spousal support.
