Former Love & Hip Hop star Masika Kalysha and social media personality Brittany Renner went back and forth on X, formerly Twitter, after the former took aim at the former wife of rapper Kevin Gates for ditching her hijab immediately following her divorce.
“Since we’re on the topic… the way Britney played with them peoples religion to become that man’s other wife is crazy,” Masika wrote. “He took off and she took off them peoples clothes.”
The tweet quickly gained traction, seemingly accusing Renner of using Islam to try and lure Gates in but turning her back on her faith the second it did not serve her.
Renner wasted no time firing back with a stinging rebuttal.
“Says BM #3 who faked a kidnapping to promote their irrelevant OF,” she wrote. “Since we’re on the topic… religion is not exclusive, I never signed up to be one of several, ppl are allowed to change their minds, & plenty of relationships are meant to be but not meant to last. Bye 40 and fried!”
Renner defended her choices and turned the spotlight back on Kalysha’s past controversies, accusing her of staging a kidnapping to promote her OnlyFans account.
The back-and-forth left fans divided.
