Brooklyn Beckham is publicly addressing long-standing tension with his famous family, claiming his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, has been repeatedly undermined by his parents.
In a lengthy Instagram Stories post shared this week, Brooklyn said he felt forced to speak after years of staying quiet.
“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to tell the truth.” He added, “I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn accused his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, of prioritizing publicity over personal boundaries, claiming
“Brand Beckham comes first.” He alleged that major moments in his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham were disrupted, including their 2022 wedding and David’s 50th birthday celebration.
Brooklyn also confirmed a widely reported wedding incident involving Marc Anthony, saying a planned romantic dance with Nicola turned uncomfortable. “My mum was waiting to dance with me,” he wrote. “I’ve never felt more humiliated.”
