WATCH THE VIDEO HERE A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State, Musa Kwankwaso, has said a former Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, was part of those who cheated the North. Kwankwaso said Baba-Ahmed and a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Buba Galadima cheated the North with their long service in government, yet the region had nothing to show for it. He disclosed this in a statement where he pointed out that Galadima and Baba-Ahmed can’t stop the North from voting for President Bola Tinubu in 2027. Kwankwaso stressed that the two politicians had lost their relevance and were frustrated. He asserted that they “lack moral courage” to comment on the President’s governance, describing them as having “nothing to offer.” “The two personalities lack moral courage to talk about the Tinubu administration because they lack the moral rectitude to do so,” Kwankwaso said. Kwankwaso accused Baba-Ahmed of being among those who “allegedly cheated the North through their long service in government,” but have nothing to show for their time in office. He added that Baba-Ahmed’s attempts to defend the North are baseless. “Baba-Ahmed is among those who allegedly cheated the North by their long service in governments but have nothing to show as their contributions to the region they are today so called defending,” he said. Kwankwaso credited President Tinubu’s decision to grant duty-free importation of essential goods to business moguls like BUA for the drop in prices. He also mentioned the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas in the North, noting that stations are opening in states like Borno, Kaduna, and Kwara, with Kano set to follow suit. “Today Rolling Energy Company is amplifying the growth of CNG almost all over Nigeria, and with which instead of buying fuel of over N100,000 one can now use CNG with very little money to travel around. And in the North, CNG stations are almost all over the region with the Government putting it in Borno, Kaduna, Kwara and Kano would also soon have their own,” Kwankwaso said. He asserted that northerners would not heed the criticisms of Baba-Ahmed, Galadima, or former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, due to their lack of contributions to the region. “Let me say this, whether they like it or not, Bola Tinubu will win his second term and win the entire North with a landslide victory, because Nigerians appreciate the Government’s transformative agenda which has started yielding results,” Kwankwaso declared.
