Okorie condemned the widening divide between the ruling elite and ordinary citizens, calling the nation unsafe and unstable as food scarcity worsens with ongoing insecurity disrupting farming. He accused the current administration of deepening ethnic and nepotistic divisions, stating, “Buhari was a learner compared to what Tinubu is doing now.”
Highlighting widespread public anger, Okorie lamented that political leaders flaunt wealth amid national hardship and questioned claims of economic success. He also raised alarms over a ₦15 trillion debt servicing budget and criticized the weak Electoral Act ahead of 2027 elections.
Despite APC’s dominance, Okorie insists popular movements like Peter Obi’s 2023 surge show the status quo can be challenged. The political landscape, he warns, is far from settled.
