THE family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Kaduna, twelve days after his burial in Daura.
His wife, Aisha Buhari, along with their son Yusuf and other relatives, arrived yesterday and were received at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.
Accompanied by the Majority Leader of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Munira Tanimu, and other senior government officials, the Deputy Governor welcomed the family with warmth and respect, reflecting the state’s continued honour for the late leader’s legacy and service to Nigeria.
The former First Lady and her entourage were later escorted to their residence in Ungwan Rimi GRA, located in the Kaduna State capital.
President Muhammadu Buhari died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 82, while receiving medical treatment in a London hospital.
He was buried two days later, on July 15, in his hometown of Daura, in accordance with Islamic rites.
