Nigerian Afrobeat star Burna Boy has reportedly cancelled five arena dates from his ongoing ‘NSOW Tour’ after ticket sales dropped in several cities.

According to reports, the decline in sales followed a viral video showing the singer removing fans from a concert for allegedly “sleeping” during his performance.

Naijaonpoint reports that the clip drew intense online criticism, with many accusing Burna Boy of being disrespectful to his audience.

Following the backlash, interest in the remaining tour dates reportedly fell, leading his team to quietly adjust the tour schedule.

The Grammy-winning artiste addressed the incident during a recent show in Dallas, offering an apology to his fans and asking for understanding over the situation.

He said: “I know my ticket sales are suffering since that incident. Even the coffee I introduced no one is buying. So please I am sorry to everyone and everything I said. It was a slip of tongue.”

In a related development, ace Nigerian rapper, Olamide Baddo, has dismissed the misconception that he is shy.

Naijaonpoint reports that Olamide made this known during an interview with ‘Ada’s Room’ podcast, stressing that he is not shy but laid back.

He said, “One thing I wish people could understood about me is I am not shy, I am just laid back.”
