OPEN LETTER TO SENATOR IYIOLA OMISORE (from Engr. Busuyi Ayowole)
A Public Challenge on Engineering and Project Management

Dear Senator Omisore,

I write to you as a fellow son of Osun State, a professional mechanical engineer, and a citizen committed to seeing our state rise through competence and innovation.

BOA BANNER1 scaled

You are often addressed as Engineer—a title that carries weight and demands proof of technical mastery. Given your repeated public references to engineering achievements and your ambition to continue shaping Osun’s political future, I hereby challenge you to a public debate on the subject of Engineering and Project Management in Governance.

This debate would provide the people of Osun a rare opportunity to examine, side by side:

Professional Standards – What truly qualifies a person to be called an engineer in Nigeria and globally.

Project Delivery – Strategies, records, and real-world experiences in managing large-scale engineering projects.

Technology and Economic Growth – How engineering discipline can drive Osun’s development in the 21st century.

My academic background includes:

B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria

MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, focused on Design and Production Engineering

MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine (USA), focused on Smart Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, and Advanced Design

I currently work in the United States as a Prototyping Associate in advanced manufacturing, designing and developing cutting-edge audio and mechanical systems.

This is not a political rally—it is a public test of knowledge, skill, and leadership credibility. If you truly embody the engineering expertise often attributed to you, the people of Osun deserve to witness a transparent exchange of ideas and competence.

I am prepared to meet you anywhere in Osun State, at a neutral venue, before an impartial panel of moderators, at a date convenient for you. Let us show our people that leadership is more than titles—it is substance measured in open debate.

The ball is now in your court, Senator. Will you accept this challenge and give Osun the intellectual engagement it deserves?

Respectfully,

Engr. Olubusuyi Ayowole
