Cabal in Tinubu’s Gov’t More Dangerous Than Any Other – Ex-Minister Dalung

A former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has said there exists a powerful cabal in President Bola Tinubu’s government.

According to Dalung, this cabal is comprised of highly placed individuals who have hijacked the government and are running it their own way.

In an interview on the ‘Mic On’ podcast with journalist Seun Okinbaloye, Dalung alleged that these individuals keep President Tinubu out of the loop, shielding him from prevailing realities and warding off anyone trying to bring him up to speed. He described the cabal as sophisticated, informed, and experienced, having been in power for a long time.

Dalung drew a comparison between the cabal in Tinubu’s government and the one in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. He claimed that while Buhari’s cabal was comprised of uninformed people with little experience, Tinubu’s cabal is more dangerous due to their knowledge of power and sophistication.

His words: “Cabal exists in Nigeria’s presidency till today. Tinubu has the most sophisticated cabal, worse than Buhari.”

“Buhari’s cabal was a group of uninformed people with little experience, that was why they were dipping their hands in everything that was available, but Tinubu’s cabal is a sophisticated group of people who have been long in power, they know power, and they are also informed. So they are more dangerous than any other cabal that I’ve ever known and seen.”
