In a series of tweets from its official handle, @cacnigeria1, the CAC disclosed that these fraudsters falsely present themselves as friends or agents of the Registrar-General to deceive and defraud unsuspecting citizens. The Commission categorically stated that the Registrar-General disassociates himself from any such fraudulent calls and emphasized that anyone who engages with these impostors does so at their own risk. The CAC urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious calls or activities to the appropriate authorities. “Please be cautious and don’t hesitate to report such callers.
