Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been named CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third consecutive time, reaffirming her position as one of Africa’s most outstanding goalkeepers.
The 24-year-old clinched the prestigious award on Wednesday night at the 2025 CAF Awards held in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini, who were also shortlisted.
Nnadozie’s victory comes after an exceptional year for both club and country. At Paris FC, she helped the club win the Coupe de France Féminine, delivering consistent match-winning performances.
On the international stage, she played a pivotal role in the Super Falcons’ triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where Nigeria claimed a record-extending 10th continental title.
Nnadozie kept four clean sheets and was named the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
Her career took another leap forward when she joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League, where she made an instant impression — earning Player of the Match on her debut and receiving nominations for WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month.
This latest CAF accolade further cements Nnadozie’s legacy as one of the brightest stars in women’s football and a key figure in Nigeria’s sustained dominance on the continent.
