CAF Champions League: Obaseki Applauds Edo Queens For Semifinal Qualification

Former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has commended the state’s women’s team and Nigeria Women’s Premier League champions, Edo Queens, for securing a place in the semifinals of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

The team demonstrated remarkable resilience by beating defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns with a 2-1 victory in their final Group B match.

In a statement released by his media aide, Crusoe Osagie, Obaseki expressed his congratulations to Edo Queens, urging them to go for the title.

The statement reads: “I want to extend my sincere congratulations to our outstanding Edo Queens for their remarkable performance and comeback against the reigning African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, at the CAF Women’s Champions League in Casablanca, Morocco.
