THE Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Gabon in the first match of the 2026 World Cup African play-offs, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed.
The play-offs will be held in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to November 16 with four teams competing for one ticket to the intercontinental play-offs scheduled for next March in Mexico.
According to the schedule released by CAF today, in the first semi-final, the Super Eagles will take on Gabon on November 13 at the 22,000-capacity Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex from 5pm Nigerian time.
Cameroon will clash with the Democratic Republic of Congo in the second semi-final later that day, the match kicking off at 8pm at the 18,000-capacity El-Barid Stadium.
The winners of the semi-finals will meet in the final on November 16 at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex from 8pm.
If the Super Eagles win the African play-offs ticket, they will proceed to the intercontinental play-offs in Mexico, where six teams will compete for two World Cup spots.
The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States of America, Mexico and Canada in June and July.
