WATCH THE VIDEO HERE During a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Gillie Da Kid shared with host Shannon Sharpe that he does not attend Roc Nation industry brunches because all the love is fake. On. a recent episode of his It Is What It Is podcast with Ma$e, Cam weighed in on Gillie’s remarks and agreed. Cam shared that even though he had collaborated with Jay-Z in the past, hanging around Jay is not a big deal to him. “It’s not really a big deal for me to be around a bunch of men ’cause it be a little scatter of bitches at that s–t and then it’s a bunch of men. Secondly, you got a bunch of people just hanging out taking pictures,” he said.
Cam said that attending the brunch is a good look for the younger generation, not for the old heads. “[At the] end of the day, why am I going to see n—as I seen 100 times, and then it’s really nothing to talk about? Is it a great tool for new, younger artists? Absolutely,” he said. Sean “Diddy” Combs frequently attended the Roc Nation Brunch, but after a woman recently filed a lawsuit against him and Jay, Jay-Z issued a statement claiming that they were never close friends, proving Gillie’s point.
