Cardi B is speaking out after allegations surfaced against her partner, NFL star Stefon Diggs, weeks after the couple welcomed their first child together.
The rapper, 32, and the New England Patriots wide receiver quietly became parents to a baby boy late last year.
Recently, Diggs was charged with felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery following an alleged dispute with his personal chef. According to reports, the woman claims Diggs struck her after an argument over unpaid money and then choked her when she fought back. She also alleged that Diggs’ assistant later asked her to sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, had remained silent until she addressed the situation on X.
In a since-deleted post, she shared a screenshot of what she said was a text message from the accuser. “I’m soo sorry, I can’t talk to you. I didn’t say that, especially in the way it was written,” the message read. “Please contact my mediator.”
Cardi captioned ..., “Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched. NOT ONCE!!”
She added that she planned to let the legal process play out. “I’m gonna let the courts handle s-–t,” she wrote, adding that she was confident the truth would come out.
After ... went viral, Cardi deleted ....
