Cardi B has responded to allegations made by a Southern artist named Rissa Reign that her song titled “Outside” was stolen by the “WAP” rapper’s team.
“SOMEBODY heard that mf. I fw Cardi so hard tho This not even the typa music I make. But I recorded it on some quick s–t to fulfill my contract obligations at the time. They wanted more ‘feminine’ music,” Rissa wrote about her three-year-old song.
Popular North Carolina artist #RissaReign believes it’s not just a coincidence that #Cardi’s song “Outside” has a similar beat & similar wording as her song with the same name, which was released 3 years ago. What do yall think? pic.twitter.com/ZPMpKFgeeF

Fans who listened to both versions agree that there are some major similarities, including the beat and the flow.
“Damn this is too similar , even if Cardi didn’t take the song someone on that team heard something,” one listener commented.
Another commented, “That’s ashame. Her ghostwriters being lazy and stole from a unknown artist smh not a good look Same sample, Sample title. Same Tempo. Not to mention Cardi B song sounds dated like it came out around 3 years ago. PAY THAT WOMAN @iamcardib”
Cardi hopped on social media to clap back at Rissa’s claims, telling the artist to “beat it.”
