Cardi B and BIA still have been, but the “Check Please” rapper says she will not be celebrating her opps’ paltry first-week album sales.
Despite attracting the attention of millions during their back-and-forth on social media, BIA’s new album BIANCA managed to sell just 8,000 equivalent units in its debut week.
“I don’t pick on b—hes. I don’t wake up every single day like, ‘I’mma pick on this girl ‘cause I can’ I just found out BIA’s numbers yesterday. I’m not going to pick on her ‘cause of that s–t. Then that’s overkill,” said Cardi.
During the week of BIA’s album release, Cardi said she would not speak ill of BIA, as she understood how stressful album week is for artists. In a recent Hot 97 interview, BIA said she will never be cool with Cardi.
“I don’t care to be friends with people that are like that,” Bia said. “Like, I don’t care to be on good terms with people that record conversations and phone calls and, like, that spin narratives to sell music. I don’t do that … My MO is to be here, put my good into the world, do community philanthropy, make great music, touch the people and move on.”
