Carl Crawford is reflecting on his past beef with Megan Thee Stallion and now the former MLB star says that he did not handle things the correct way.

Crawford started 1501 Entertainment with $6 million of his own money and signed the Houston Hottie to his label in 2018 in a 360 deal.

After Megan popped, she asked to renegotiate, but he did not want to strike a new deal, so Megan took him to court with the backing of Roc Nation.

“I didn’t fully understand the business at the time. Back then, we just came in with a number—like us taking 40 percent of [her] net [profit]. That was just me not knowing the business,” he told  Audiomack co-founder Brian Zisook.

Fans of the rapper immediately took Megan’s side and blasted Crawford for trying to keep her trapped in a contract she no longer wanted to be in.

“I went from being seen as a hard-working athlete to the villain in music overnight,” he told Zisook. “I don’t let anyone control what I’m doing anymore.”
