CBN appoints 16 new directors

THE Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed 16 new directors to head key departments across its operations. Their appointments, covering various policy-driven, regulatory, and supervisory roles, take effect today. The newly appointed directors are:

– Jide-Samuel Avbasowamen – Director, Information Technology Department
– Abdullahi Hamisu – Director, Banking Services Department
– Ojumu Adenike – Director, Medical Services Department
– Makinde Olanrewaju – Director, Procurement and Support Services Department
– Sike Ijeoma – Director, Financial Policy and Regulation Department
– Isa-Olatinwo Aisha – Director, Consumer Protection Department
– Oboh Victor Ugbem – Director, Monetary Policy Department
– Nakorji Musa – Director, Trade and Exchange Department
– Yusuf Rakiya – Director, Payments System Supervision Department
– Vincent Modesola – Director, Strategy Management and Innovation Department
– Farouk Muhammad – Director, Reserve Management Department
– Akinwunmi Olubukola Akinniyi – Director, Banking Supervision Department
– Solaja Mohammed-Jamiu – Director, Other Financial Institutions’ Supervision Department (OFISD)
– Hassan Umar – Director, Development and Finance Institutions Supervision Department
– Adedeji Adetona – Director, Currency Operations and Branch Management Department
– Okpanachi Moses – Director, Statistics Department

The CBN stated that these appointments align with its efforts to strengthen financial regulation, enhance consumer protection, and improve monetary policy implementation.
