The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Damaturu Branch, on Thursday donated fire-fighting equipment to the Ultra-Modern Police Hospital, Damaturu, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The CBN team, led by Branch Manager Mr Umar Wadata, included the Head of Banking, Hajiya Amina Ningi, along with other staff members.

During a courtesy visit to the hospital, Wadata stated that the donation of the fire caddy was intended to strengthen emergency response capacity and ensure the safety of lives and property.

In response, the hospital’s Medical Director, Prof. Muhammed Tahir, expressed deep appreciation for the donation, describing it as both timely and highly beneficial.

He commended the CBN for acknowledging the hospital’s critical role in community health and emergency services, noting that the support would significantly enhance service delivery.

Tahir also lauded CBN patients at the facility for their responsibility and cooperation.

“The hospital is honoured to be chosen for this support, and we assure you that the donation will be formally communicated to the Force Headquarters,” he added.(NAN)
