The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has distanced itself from a recruitment notice currently circulating on several social media platforms.
Naijaonpoint understands that the viral document, bearing an official-looking letterhead and falsely e-signed by the Secretary to the Board, is dated December 10, 2025.
According to the fake memo, the Board has purportedly advanced to the next phase of its recruitment process, physical screening and document verification, and allegedly directed shortlisted candidates to visit a fraudulent portal, “recruitment.cdcffib.government.ng”, between December 15 and 19, 2025, to select screening venues and dates.
The notice also falsely claims that the screening exercise is scheduled to hold from December 22 to 26, 2025.
Reacting to the development, the Secretary to the Board, Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin, urged the public to ignore the fake publication.
In a statement issued on Thursday, December 11, 2025, and signed by A. M. Jibril, he noted: “I did not issue or sign any statement announcing dates or venues for physical screening or document verification.”
He described the circulating information as the work of “unscrupulous individuals whose intention is to mislead and defraud innocent job seekers.”
The Board cautioned applicants and the general public to depend solely on its verified official communication platforms for authentic updates regarding recruitment exercises.
It stressed that any information not issued through approved channels should be disregarded.
