Naijatimes caught up with some of Nigeria’s favourite stars to hear about their dream Christmas celebrations. Content creator Olisa Judith is looking forward to a more authentic Christmas experience. “I always wanted to experience Santa like it is in the movies,” she reminisces. This year, she’ll be making her first Christmas celebration outside Nigeria a reality. Actress Cynthia Salawu cherishes classic Christmas imagery. “My dream Christmas is wearing matching outfits with my partner, and snapping pictures close to the Christmas tree,” she shares. This year, she plans to spend quality time with her family and step out of her comfort zone by attending more social events. For actress Ifeoma Nebe, a grand celebration is the ultimate Christmas dream. “My dream Christmas has always been me wanting to sponsor my family and friends on a vacation to a beautiful country,” she expresses. Her fondest childhood Christmas memory involves travelling to the village and enjoying festive preparations with her grandparents. Filmmaker Nosa Obaseki prioritises family time during the holidays. “I have also loved the idea of spending quality time with my family and having the required rest before work resumes in January,” he says. This year, he’ll be celebrating with a smaller circle of friends due to being away from family. Actor Emeka Okoye emphasises the importance of family gatherings during Christmas. “My dream Christmas is that special Christmas where you are home with entire extended families eating, drinking and playing games,” he states. This year, he plans to spend time with his family and enjoy a short vacation in the Benin Republic. Sylvia Olisa dreams of an idyllic international escape. “I have always dreamed of spending the Christmas holiday with my family on a very peaceful, conducive island,” she shares. “Greece looks like a beautiful Christmas holiday destination.” This year, she plans to prioritize quality time with her children and indulge their Christmas wishes.
