Offset is at the center of fresh controversy after influencer Celina Powell accused the rapper of threatening her and refusing to repay money she claims she loaned him. Powell shared the allegations online Friday, telling followers to “look at Offset” if anything were to happen to her.
According to Powell, she gave Offset $15,000 and has spent weeks trying to get the money back. She alleged the rapper gambled the funds away and responded with threats when she pressed him for repayment.
“I’m tired of fearing Offset,” Powell wrote, claiming the situation has left her feeling unsafe. She also briefly posted a FaceTime video that appeared to show Offset angrily telling her, “s–t ain’t sweet,” as they argued over the phone.
The allegations come amid a long and turbulent history between the two. Powell and Offset were first publicly linked in 2017 after Offset accused her of attempting to extort him for $50,000 by falsely claiming she was pregnant. The dispute escalated to involve Offset’s then wife, Cardi B, whose legal team issued Powell a cease and desist letter. Powell later admitted she fabricated the pregnancy.
In recent weeks, Powell has posted photos and videos implying she and Offset were together, including an image of him asleep in bed. Speaking to DJ Akademiks, che claimed she was in love with the Atlanta rapper at one point and that she realized he had been “pimping” her.
