WATCH THE VIDEO HERE President Lazarus Chakwera met with members of General Assembly of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) at the state house of Lilongwe on Monday, April 7th, 2025. Although the members of the press were not allowed at the meeting, the CCAP General Assembly Moderator. Right Reverend Biswick Chimbalu Nkhoma, said they were discussing some pressing national issues including the impact of climate change and the rising threats of political violence. Chimbalu emerged with a strong message of hope and collaboration, he commended the president for his recent bold statements denouncing political violence stating that such acts should not be tolerated regardless political differences. Presidential Advisor on political affairs, Andrew Kamwendo said that Chakwera assured delegation of his commitment to peaceful elections this year. He also outline both immediate and long time strategies that the government is implementing to alleviate the impact of climate change.
