As part of initiatives to deepen Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Champion Breweries PLC has touched the lives of more than 1300 persons who benefitted from the company’s medical outreach in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
Organised for its host community in Nung Oku Community in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of Akwa ibom State, the two-day medical outreach was held in collaboration with Ima bridge hospital, featuring Free Eye Consultations Health Education Sessions, Eye Screening and Distribution of Reading Glasses, Screening and Treatment for various ailments.
Screening and treatment were conducted on hypertension, diabetes, and other common medical conditions as well health awareness campaigns, tailored to support residents of the Community
Addressing the people before flagging off of the event, Inalegwu Adoga, Managing Director, Champion Breweries PLC, said the company has long been committed to delivering life-touching projects that enhance the wellbeing of the people of the State, reaffirming its commitment to positively impacting its host communities.

Represented by Theophilus Akporie, Head Logistics and Operational Excellence, the managing director maintained that the company would remain committed in ensuring that the host communities and the good people of Àkwa Ibom State win together with the firm in all its undertakings.

We are here to provide quality medical care for your health issues. Medical Experts will also counsel you on common health challenges and wellness.”
Adoga urged the patients to embrace the opportunity provided by the Medical outreach to address their various health challenges and tasked them to pay adequate attention on the health education center to enable them live a healthier life.
He highlighted that the event was another way of giving back to the society and ensuring that the host communities are rewarded for their continuous support and cooperation with the firm.
Also speaking at the event, Edidiong Joseph Inyang, Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of the State, described the free medical mission by Champion Breweries PLC as impactful and timely.
He added, “we are pleased to have your company once again extend your corporate social responsibility to the people of Ibesikpo Asutan, we will continue to support your company. I am sincerely touched by your benevolence and I hope to see more of this in the years ahead.”
The Council chairman noted that no investment in the health sector would be too much as the wellbeing and welfare of the people remain paramount, urging other firms to emulate Champion Breweries PLC.
